The Victron Energy VE.Bus Smart Dongle (Part: ASS030537010) adds Bluetooth connectivity and remote firmware updates to any Victron MultiPlus or Quattro inverter/charger via its VE.Bus RJ45 port. The lowest-cost way to get VictronConnect app monitoring on a MultiPlus-II without installing a full Cerbo GX system.

What It Does

The VE.Bus Smart Dongle plugs into the RJ45 port on your MultiPlus or Quattro and immediately makes it visible in VictronConnect via Bluetooth. From the app you can: switch between inverter, charger-only, and off modes; read AC input and output voltage, frequency, and current; view charger current and battery voltage; and apply Victron firmware updates — all from your phone within 10 meters of the unit.

What It Doesn't Do

The VE.Bus Smart Dongle does not provide VRM online monitoring (that requires a Cerbo GX or CCGX). It cannot be used simultaneously with a GX device connected to the same VE.Bus port. If you're building a full Victron ecosystem with internet monitoring, install a Cerbo GX instead — it provides the same Bluetooth access plus remote VRM, NMEA 2000 integration, and whole-system data.
